Amazing sushi!
This is fabulous place, if you know and have knowledge to difference between Sushi vs Great Sushi, you will be very much appreciated this place. Just Love Norimaki!
Expensive. Best sushi ever. Want to impress someone, this is the place to take them
Great food in a very quiet atmosphere
Expensive but best sushi in the area by far. Cool decor for Washington.
Norimaki offers highest quality accompanied by fabulous service and incredible food quality. Soothing ambiance and a good selection. Its dishes compare favorably with the finest spots in Tokyo. Most highly recommended!
Norimaki serves high quality sushi and Japanese dishes in a calm and lovely environment. The saki menu is extensive and interesting. There are special dishes when they can get fresh fish from somewhere that is a little unusual. The chef's tofu is amazing, very smooth and tasty. Everything we had, from seaweed salad, to sushi to teriyaki was delicious. The service was so lovely it made me feel like I was back in Japan. A gem of a restaurant.
Amazing sushi. A bit tucked away but that's part of the charm
The pieces here are so tiny ...$200 for 2 people and we are both still hungry? That’s ridiculous
Very expensive and extremely small cuts of fish. The Kani salad had zero fish in it, was about an ice cream scoop size and almost $20. The Udon noodles had no soy sauce or sesame flavor, but, instead, tasted like weak barbecue sauce. Edamame was overly salted. The fish was very fresh, just wish it didn't cost $7+ per piece. There's nothing special about the "special" rolls. They looked identical to a regular one. Roughly 3x the cost of nearby restaurants for 1/2 the food. Our bill was over $100 for: 1 app, 1 salad, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks. We were still hungry and ended up going to Washington Pizza, for a pie.As a note, they only have about 7 tables so it might be worth a call before going (they were only half full on a Saturday). Can be difficult to find the actual store front, once in the plaza. Look for a little brown sign w/ Japanese writing.
Great little place in the depot. Didn't know this little gem was even here. This is a small place with great flavor. One of the best sushi places I have been so far.
Incredible spot. Highly recommend! In terms of quality and freshness...is on par with the best sushi spots in New York which I regularly dine at. Hidden gem. Hats off the chef and staff..
The best sushi restaurant in Connecticut by far.
Very nice environment. Freat quality of sushi and is freshly made. under renovations so it is the door on the right of the building under construction.
Spectacular!! We were a little confused with the menu at first but they made us comfortable and ordered a perfect meal!
The woman who owns this place is a witch. All I have to say.
An absolute gem tucked away in the heart of Washington, CT not DC!The food was fresh, sophisticated and several items were flown in from Japan! The organic tofu starter, was creamy and had a delicious hint of smokiness to it. The bluefin tuna was a rare treat and with the hotate (scallop) was great to get a sense of the nigiri menu. We also had black cod, grilled to a perfect moist, flaky texture and the kake udon soup, perfect for a winter's night. The finale of green tea ice cream with a plum wine reduction sauce was a perfect ending! If you want sophisticated, well executed Japanese food in Washington, CT. you will enjoy it in a quiet serene setting at Norimaki!
I wanted to love this place, but the food lives up to neither this restaurant's reputation nor its prices. It is quality food and is a worthy option especially in this region which is unfortunately lacking in many international cuisine choices, but there's just nothing special about it if compared to other Japanese restaurants. Specifically, I found the tempura batter to be too heavy and the sushi to be a bit dull, though the salad was quite good. Again, it is okay, but not a place one should plan as a must-visit culinary destination.
We arrived at this restaurant for lunch. we heard about this spot from quite a few people. Well, we were not disappointed. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we felt very good. The meal was delicious. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.
Personal service, awesome food, and nice atmosphere. Its amazing its in Washington Depot!
Too much salt and $$$$
I’m so disappointed and angry. I wanted $100 worth of sushi and was told that would only be four rolls. ok, Thats fine , I was expecting excellent food and quality. I received two plastic containers of sushi that looked like stuff that costs $20 in the city. One of the rolls had imitation crab meat and was doused in soy sauce. absolutely criminal.
Horrible service. Owner lady is very rude and very deceiving. Food quality is never worth that much money. Highly overpriced with tiny serving portions. They rip off parents who send their kids to nearby boarding school.
I visit this place a lot since I work right next to it. I must say the service is always excellent and they keep the spot well kept all the time. Prices are reasonable and they serve large portions.
floors looked like they had not been cleaned in weeks...awkward atmosphere, only 2 menus in house, over priced. not worth it
